I'll try to make this as clear as possible. I have 2 harddisk partitions: C and D. C is where i installed my windows xp and D is where i install my programs such as Msn live and Msn plus(both are latest ver.). Because i installed a new motherboard, i had to format my C drive and reinstall windows. When I start msn after formatting the C drive, my msn hangs and gives me the windows error. I tried reinstalling both msn live and msn plus, installing just msn live but the problem persists.

Can anyone help me???

try uninstalling and installing again windows live and msn +

After formatting and installing Windows again, make absolutely sure you have also installed all the service packs, hotfixes and patches for Windows.

For this you _must_ go to http://www.windowsupdate.com/ and follow the instructions. After updating you _must_ visit that site again and again until there are no fixes anymore to install...

After that, make sure you reinstall Messenger (and Messenger Plus) properly.

PS: and don't forget to reboot after each new install...
