To enable/disabe
"Polygamy"* you go to the Plus! Preferences:
Contactlist > Plus! > Preferences > Messenger > Main
There you can tick/untick the option "Allow me to connect to several accounts simultaniously"

Once that option is enabled, you can start up more than one Messenger program. Do this in the same way as you would manually start up Messenger. Simply start up as many Messenger programs as you like.
You will notice that multiple programs will be able to run side-by-side. And as such you can use a different account for each one of them.
Thus you'll be able to be signed in to Messenger with more than one account at the same time...

If you don't enable that option in the Plus! preferences, you will notice that when you manually start up another Messenger program, the old already running program will simply pop up. And you would only be able to be signed in with one account on your computer.

Note that when you do use more than one Messenger program at the same time, some stuff in Plus! might not work exactly like you'd expected.
Nevertheless, even if you don't use more than one Messenger program at the same time, you could safely leave that option enabled.
Also note that the method used by Plus! to enable polygamy* is much more safer than the methods you might find in patches like "MessPatch". The option in Plus! also does not change the physical Messenger program, while those options in patches like "MessPatch" do change the physicial program.

You close Messenger programs like normal: Right click on their system tray icon and choose 'Exit'.
