well ive forgotten the password that i created for my msn chat logs, so i was wondering if there is anyway that i can recover it or anything, or whether they are just lost forever??

You can't put a pw on msn chat logs (through WLM itself..) however you can on Plus! chat logs so i assume you mean those, in wich case i have to tell you: lost forever.

there should be like a forgotten password thingy!! haha cant believe i was so stupid and forgot it

Write it down somewhere (not too obvious) or don't encrypt at all.

Yep, just turn off encryption in the preferences (plus > preferences > conversations > logs encryption) and the next chat won't be pw encrypted anymore.

no... You need your password to decrypt them.

Decrypting is "taking the password of" so you can read the log as a normal text file.
