O.P. Cant minimize WLM
i cant minimize windows live messenger's main window (contact list). i uninstalled Plus! and it worked, then i reinstalled Plus! and it stopped working, so i blame Patchou :D

Windows XP Service Pack 2 (5.1.2600)
Windows Live Messenger 8.1.0178
Messenger Plus! Live 4.23.0.276
