Hi

We all use a shared computer and all use Windows Live Messesger.  It seems that new contacts keep appearing and nobody will admit to adding them, as its a family computer I am worried that somebody may be doing something they shouldn't.

I know when messenger has been used on computer, that is logged in temp internet files, but is it possible to see which contacts have been chatted to in that session in some sort of log file?  I know you can get messenger to log all conversations, dont  really need that, just need to know who has been chatted to in that session!!

Not directly. What you can do is comparing the date and times in the chatlogs with your information about the Windows sessions.

As long as you all use the same Windows account and even the same Windows Live ID (aka 'Messenger account'), there is no real way to see who has done what.

Ah ok...so where do I find these chat logs, so i can compare the times and who they have been chatting with?  thanks

If logging is enabled you can find the location of the log files here:
Contactlist > Tools > Options > Messages > Message History

But again, if you all use the same Windows account and the same Messenger account there is no way to see who made what log.
