Can anyone explain to me how to display gleams on my contact's contact list indicating an update on my own space?

I've set my "Options > Permissions" to Messenger.
And ticked the box saying "Information from my Windows Live space should appear on my contact card or cause others to see a gleam next to me."

But still, no gleams show up on my contact's contact list.

Edit. I even tried making new accounts, and adding them on my msn list. Wrote some blogs on them and without alternating the default permission settings. I still can't see the gleams... did the new MSN's changed the way gleams work or something?

RE: Gleams
I would be thinking that it's either connection problems for them or it's just not synchronizing itself well enough.

Any chance you patched WLM to remove the gleams? Tried reinstalling WLM?

But the thing is i can see gleams for my ownself. As in, i added myself in my own contact list, and when i update, the gleam shows up. It just doens't show to others.

RE: Gleams
but then going to back to what Chris4 and myself have said, it wouldn't be surprising at all regardless if it is yourself or your contacts. So their best bet is to try reinstalling messenger.

hmmm. yeh, i actually did thought the same as well. that it might just be my contact's prob.
but when i ask the majority of ppl on my list, that thought was eliminated as no one can see it.
so i did a little test myself. i opened up 2 MSNs, both using a newly created account, both account have a new blog updated. and both added each other
result is, both can only see the gleam for themselves, but the contacts can't.

sigh.. i hate this! lol
