O.P. Huh?  Conversation windows pop up
Hi!

I am using Windows Live Messenger Version 8.1 and installed Messenger Plus! Live Version 4.23.0.276 a few days ago...

I had installed it with the sponsors messages, but they were happening too often and I decided to remove that option.  That worked well.

However, I am now getting pop ups of conversation windows of my contacts, but I am not opening them and some times the system writes text that I did not write and sends them.

Does anybody happen to know what is going on?  I am about to uninstall the whole thing, but I thought better ask and try to solve it.

Thank you,

Hi Lukas,

No, actually it writes all kinds of things that don't make any sense.  It is happening a lot and it is driving me crazy, plus the fact that it is reaching my contacts with stuff that I am not sending.

Thank you for asking.

Hi roflmao456,

I did uninstalled everything (Windows Live Messenger and Messenger Live Plus) and reinstalled without the sponsor, but I am still getting the same pop ups.

Thank you for your answer.

@SUPERSTUPIDKIDz

1. Start -> Run -> regedit

Go to the respective folders and delete the following keys:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ShellServiceObjectDelayLoad]
"prodigys323"="{XXXXXXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXXXXXXXXX}"

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{XXXXXXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXXXXXXXXX}\InProcServer32]
@="prodigys323.dll"

2. Then delete the following files:
%systemroot%\PictureAlbum2007.zip
%systemroot%\system32\prodigys323.dll
