O.P. [HELP REQUIRED] ratemyface == Messenger virus
My friend apparently just cought a virus, or is it spyware, I don't know.

What is does is as everyother stupid Messenger virus do, is send it to all contacts. (He said something about www.ratemyface.com link).

I've been trying to find him instructions on how to remove it properly
but haven't been able to find anything really.. (maybe that's because my work block anything that has to do with messenger, I still wonder why msghelp is allowed.)

So if you guys could give me a guide or isntructions to remove it, thanks.

There's quite a few sites with similar 'services' as ratemyface. I don't think they'd e spreading messenger viruses. But what could be happening is someone registered a similar domain, and so poses as the ratemyface site to not look so suspicious.

Have you told him to run a virus/spyware scanner?

Yeah, I think thats exactly right, theyre creating similar domains to real sites to make the malicious sites look real.
GOOGLE is your friend.

What you can do is to go on http://onecare.live.com/site/en-us/default.htm and use the Microsoft service to remove this.. is free....
