what password? inever put any password... i accidentally pressed the button to lock plus! in the preferences panel and messenger was jammed then i restarted my PC and signed in to WLM and WLM is workin but no plus!...

so are there still the Messenger Plus Live icons on the contact list? or have they disappeared?

they have dissappeared...

and my signing in icons and some of my emoticons have black backgrounds...

can you check if Messenger Plus! Live is still installed with Add/Remove Programs, it will be called: "Messenger Plus! Live"

i think it would be best if you just wait for Patchou to look into this thread or someone else who knows more about Messenger Plus! Live and i do, because i have no clue what is wrong now...

uninstall it with add/remove programs, redowload and install... it might work

A friend of mine's got the same problem. i asked him to do all the obvious stuff: uninstall plus and messenger, delete folders, then reinstall Messenger without Plus, and he still got the problem, so i guess we can say it's not related to Plus!

But i cant figure out what the problem is He said he got the problem after having some issues while signing in. He was getting the typical error which is solved by updating the date/time of the computer. Then he could finally sign in, but he got the problem explained above (emoticons with black background, no Plus! at all...)

He has never installed other programs for messenger. He didnt use the lock feature either

Any ideas?
