I've spent the last few hours creating a skin for WLM that I plan to make a reality as soon as the new Plus! is released. Hopefully the skinning engine (and my skills) make this skin actually possible. Anyways, here is a little preview for you all:





Some things are probably going to change when I actually make this skin. I plan on skinning the buttons and the buddy icons also. I am thinking about using different window buttons (the X and minimize and stuff).

But for now this is just to get some opinions on the skin. Anything that should be changed? Added / Removed?

One of my main plans for this skin is to be able to change the background of the skin. I don't know if this will be possible, but we'll see .

looks nice imo,
would be better if windows aero (vista) were on the borders and that background on the translucent part

yea, thats fairly good, a few things to fix up... but yea pretty good

Love the skin idea. it'd be great if you could include the font into the skin also somehow.

Nah, the contact list window's top nickame, avatar and psm panel would be a bit hard.

Well it'd be a nice challenge, but not implausible I can imagine how the coding for it would work, having played with the dashboard on my skin

This preview is meant to be how the skin would look when the borders are taken away (a.k.a hiding the menu bars). If that isn't what you meant by your post, please elaborate.

Thanks! I was wondering if we could include fonts into the skin so they work even when people don't have the specific font... thats why I used a windows font for now .

I was aiming for easy, so I stuck with the basic WLM 8.0 look . Hopefully the top bars aren't to hard to make, but that'll just help me learn.

I wish I could have taken a look at how the skin coding was basically done before starting but I don't have any beta lol. I can't wait to give this skin a try in a couple days tho ^_^.
