Hey guys,

I'm making a collage of album covers in Photoshop CS2, one thing that im finding incredibly cumbersome however, is he fact that the website im getting the album covers off, the images are 65x65, however in the collage i want them to be 40x40.

So at the moment I'm copying the images off the website, opening a new 65x65 image in photoshop, pasting the copied image in there, and then resizing to 40x40, copying that and then pasting it into the collage. im sure this is the long way around.

Is there a way that i can automate the resizing process? Maybe so i can just have it resize by using one shortcut on my keyboard or something? or even better so it can just paste into the collage at 40x40, haha.

Any hints?

im no expert at this, although i use photoshop for all my images, but thats he way that i resize images as well. AFAIK there isnt a shortcut that you can use.

is it possible o record macros on Photoshop? if it is you could record a macro of you resizing the photo then use that macro for all your photos.

thats the sort of thing im asking about, is there a script functino or something in photoshop CS2?

maybe even if it could open a new 65x65 image, copy whatever is last on my clipboard, resize it and then copy the new image back to my clipboard? that would be even better...

Thanks but their documentation is kinda detailed, lol. as lazy as it sounds, i was hoping someone might know off the top of their heads haha, i know in paint shop pro you can "record" a script, by actually doing the action and it records it so you can do it over and over, you dont have to write a big long script that way... but ive only got PSP 9 and it crashes as soon as i open it in vista

im finishing off my maths homework now, when im finished i'll look for a solution for u, if i find one i'll post again

Thanks very much, in my searching, i just discovered "actions" which does exactly what i described in my post about (about paint shop pro).

now its doing it all very very quickly!

Cant you just make the collage with the 65x65 and then just resize the whole image(collage) ,make it 1,625 times smaller

no because i have a set size for the image (1280x800 - desktop size) and 65 doesn't divide evenly into 1280 or 800, where as 40 goes into both evenly, so the image will look better
