Hi all I am curious about Messenger Plus! installer... what program does Patchou use to build it?

It's coded by himself afaik

I think he meant the language of the code.

C++ or C# i think?

To code everything, Patchou uses, since november (somewhere between 18th and the 22nd to be exact), Visual Studio 2008, with Visual C++ 9.0

The installer is, like everything included in Plus! except for some libraries, coded by himself.

I meant the installer itself, not the application.

I learnt how to use visual basic at college and I didn't realize he uses VB

I thought a different program would of been used to make MP!L

My coding isn't that good as we had to make a program at college and mine had loads of bugs in as I ran out of time to test it before the deadline, I think I still have it on a disc somewhere as I was gonna try and get it working at home but I don't have a copy of VB but hoping to buy a copy soon (once I have got a job)

Patchou you are very talented and I have been using MP!L since msn 7.0 and it gets better and better every time, It must take you ages to sit there and code something as good as MP!L at college
I only had about 6 months to make the prototype (layout of the program and all the features like drop down boxs and text boxes while trying to get the labels right) and then 9 months to write the code and test which wasn't enough time. Keep up the good work and hopefully one day I will be good at coding

No-one ever said he uses VB, he uses Visual C++

I was meant to put VS (Visual Studio) but at college we got used to calling it vb for some weird reason

We started off with coding basic stuff in VB then went onto developing it using C++ in the VS package
