Hey everyone,

i really like using this addon, however the main thing that made me start using it again was the skinning feature, but i found that if i enabled a skin, the ads which i removed with messpatch would return. I tried running messpatch again but no luck.

Anyone have any ideas?

it is because the skin has the ad code in it, and is applied over messenger.

Im using the oldschool messenger skin, if i remember correctly some skins dont show ads, so im guesing it must be possible

only if the skin removes the ads, and it shouldnt have an option (maybe a secret file to enable it or something, but not visable to all) to disable them, so no there isnt a way unless the skin has the option to remove the skin

the developer might make a version to remove it for you, i think you should try and get in contact with them if you want that, as others shouldnt be re-releasing somebody elses skin

also, it will have to be private as skins that remove ads are not allowed to be posted/submitted to the Skin DB
