I just installed the program again and am kinda lost.

Wasnt there an option to enlarge the caracters

of the nicknames of all the people on our buddylist?

example: there is "name of the person - going out for dancing tonight"

how can I make that larger like

"name of the person - going out for dancing tonight.
who wants to go with me??"

If you mean to make your Personal Message longer, you can use MessPatch or A-Patch (use google to find the websites)

It can also be done with skinning.

There's a small button to the right of the search field. Not the Add a Contact button, the one of the far right (two green arrows facing up and down).

Click this and choose "Show Contacts' Details"... might be different for WLM 8.5, this is on 9.
