Ok---on one of my contacts' info it says i'm NOT on his contact list---but i can see when he logs in---and chat w/ him. then just recently it shows that he signed in--but it does not show a sign out time---and i now can't see him on line---

how is that possible? i'm not on his list but i can see him---then all of a sudden it stops showing his sign out times--while showing sign in times?

he could have blocked me---but then why do i c random login times?

just wondering---and it only seems to be happening w/ his account. . .

You don't have to be on someone's Contact List in order to see them as long as you were on their contact list some time in the past and they haven't blocked you.

The event logger only logs events which occur while you are signed in.
Example:
You sign in
He signs in - Recorded as an event
You sign out
He signs out - Not recorded as an event since you're not currently signed in
You sign back in - Now he is offline but there is no sign out time.

Sorry Volv but I must correct you.

tmk, you can see people online as long as they allow you, which means you are in those contacts' Allow list. You don't have to be in their contact list for even a second to see them online. Being in Allow list is sufficient.
