Well, according to the changelog, the 4006 problem was fixed in Plus! Live 4.60. I have tried to do use the fix, except I'm not quite getting what I want.

november.png is , oscar.png is , and I'm getting . It's next door neighbour, the Sharing Folders button, isn't working either.

Am I replacing them incorrectly?

I hope you are well aware that that code loads resources from a DLL called msgvsta.

Oh and the <Metadata>-tag doesn't have a <File> tag. So remove:

<Metadata>
<File>buddy/oscar.png</File>
</Metadata>

and


<Metadata>
<File>buddy/november.png</File>
</Metadata>

Do you really want to use these images as masks? I wouldn't, because the image wouldn't show up.

Yeah I've reported this to patchou twice now, at the moment it only works with rle's and can't work in messenger 9 because the rle system/makeup is different, only a handful of people have the rle conversion tools anyway.

The only way to replace a button otherwise is to create a brand new one and edit the defs/styles to accommodate 59000+ number

I think an RLE conversion tool should be published. It is not fair that some people have it and others not. Could Patchou create something like that? It would be a program like Interface tester which would help skin developers.

That's their decision to make, and I'm sure they have a good reason.

It's Microsofts own encrypted format, if it's been reverse engineered, and is only helpful to a small number of experienced skinners, why should the tool be made public to the masses of confused kids who'll want support using it?

It's only needed for a few images at the moment everything else patchou has worked wonders with
