I was once in a conversation about this subject so I decided to write this thread. People who post in the skinning forum should add these in the subject of their thread in order to make more clear what they want.

If they post a skin that is going to be released soon:[Coming Soon] or [Preview]
If they post a skin that is released:[Released]
If they post a skin update:[Update/Release] or [Updated]
If they post a thread to ask for help:[Help]
If they post a tutorial:[How-To]
If they post a request thread:[Request]


Try to be as much more descriptive as possible when you request a skin. When you ask for help, provide pictures or files from the skin in order for other members to be able to help you and also describe the problem and its details. When you have a skin release or preview attach screenshots and talk about what your skin offers.

Request is not needed, simply because there is already a skin request forum

Un-needed thread we've already adopted this method 'unofficially' as you can see, and any help threads are already easily identifiable generally because they don't have tags at the beginning or say HALP!!!"12

It's better to post updates in the original thread, updating the start post and optionally add a reply with a notification about the new version.
