Surprised a thread wasn't made.

New Ubuntu released 8.04 cd's aren't available to order yet, but you can pre-order them and if you pre-order request 1 of each build it seems to be automatically accepted it seems :)

Ships with Firefox 3 b5, thought they wouldn't ship beta products personally

I updated my ubuntu the other day, almost got my wireless working with it now!

I think it's good they've included firefox 3, it may be better but otherwise its another 6 months until they could update it and its so close to release it seems a waste.  I guess they'll release an update when it goes final.
SoundPacks   -   Scripts   -   Skins

that's not a bug, thats an unexpected feature

Yeah.. there's a reason for 3 beta 5: They were planning on having Firefox 3 stable by release date... but it's not. :)

I would imagine that it'll probably be updated to 3 when it comes out. Hopefully. :)

I've already got Hardy on my laptop (apt-get distro-upgrade ftw), and currently installing under Vista using Wubi.

I burnt it and tried the Live CD. I see no reason to use it very often.
Also, the pt-br translation is buggy, I guess I should have downloaded some updates.

because you get cd's with the latest build on as well as basic apps to get anyone started (not just yourself, the idea is you install on others pc's too), minimal updating required, packaging, stickers and sometimes more :)
