I want a device that:

• has wifi support, and comes with a browser
  
• can play videos; preferably without the need to convert to another format beforehand (codecs for xvid built-in would be good, or with the ability to install codecs at least)
  
• can play music, randomise, and allow you to save different playlists (and be able to select a playlist to play)
  
• can connect to your computer and appear as a drive allowing you to copy the music/videos like that (i.e. no iTunes)
  
• is possible to extend i.e. there's an SDK allowing others to write programs for it
  
• looks pretty (i.e. no windows mobile)

Any ideas?

edit: forgot to mention, pocket-sized!

an iphone has all of those functions, except the video playback.. it does need conversion though.

That's a pretty vague description. Most PDAs and smarthpones will fit.

Xperia isn't out, right? Looks awesome.

VLC is developing a player that read many different formats, so in the future (or now, I don't know if it's been released already) you'll be able to watch anything.
