Many of you may be wondering what all the fuss about ripping resources and code is all about and may be thinking 'It can't be such a big deal I never see any real bad rip-offs'

Well the latest skin added to the database is called Seafight. You can find it here

Now take a look at the screenshot, anything ringing any bells there?

Notice anything strikingly familiar to:

Just from the screenshot I could tell willz works have been the base of this skin, I can only assuming with some hack-copy-paste jobs to glue it altogether.

How Menthix let this slip through the net I don't know.

And no the creator did not seek nor gain Willz permission to use any aspect of his skins to create Seafight.

And how people missed this skin seeing that it has been out for almost 3 months...

Judging from the screenshots only, I can't see much resemblance though...

What are those strikingly familiar things which should ring any bells?

The strange padding. (lol Nile's been mad about padding )

And the identical checkmarks. The background glow in the contact list.

Iron Man MinMaxClose.

All of his three skins seem to have the same structure. Informed both Willz and Killer-66. Skins removed for now, if everything turns out to be alright they will be placed back with original downloadcount/votes.

But yes, there were more examples, and there probably will be more in the future too. Ripping stuff isn't something which is simply going to stop, unfortunatly.

Ripping is something about culture and education... people that doesn't understand that is the people enjoy ripping... and the worst park is they become popular because of this...
