actually... confirmed
after rebooting, and signing in again, CTRL+SPACE locks messenger, no matter if you've set a different shortcut.
The different shortcut is shown in the preferences though.
EDIT: after rebooting again, it doesn't do this anymore; I can't reproduce it anymore. Very strange.
What I did:
CTRL+SPACE was set as my lock shortcut before.
I changed it to CTRL+ALT+L
Pressed "Ok".
Closed Messenger and rebooted
Signed in and pressed CTRL+SPACE
->Messenger locked up.
Went to the preferences and CTRL+ALT+L is shown as the shortcut.
Trying to use CTRL+SPACE again, doesn't lock anymore.
CTRL+ALT+L does lock up Messenger now.
Closed Messenger and rebooted again.
Signed in and pressed CTRL+SPACE.
->nothing happens
