O.P. Empty 300gb HDD
Ive got an empty 300GB HDD installed in my computer now (long story) and well im not using it for anything. I was wondering if i should install another OS or something onto it. what do you guys suggest because i dont see the point of having an empty HDD. Btw, i currently have vista on my other 300gb HDD which still has over 180GB free

Dont need that much space. I store most my music on my external 500GB hdd anyway.

I would have no idea how to take it out of my computer
I've never dual boooted or anything before so i would have no idea how to install another OS onto it. IS it hard and how long does it take?

RE: Empty 300gb HDD
If you don't need the space and don't expect to need in in the future... see if you can make someone else happy with it .
Taking it out shouldn't be too hard, just a matter of opening the case, disconnecting the wires and unscrewing/detaching the harddisk. Just be careful and don't touch any other components.
