Or you could install something like Microsoft SyncToy and use it as a back-up drive for all your important stuff from your HD & External HD.

I recently came VERY close to losing a whole HD and a whole External HD which were both full of stuff and so when I got my new computer I've got a hard-drive exclusively for back-up which gets updated automatically on a daily basis without me needing to do anything.

Backing up always seems like a waste of time and effort and hard-drive space......but if you'd come as close as I had to losing stuff, or had in fact lost stuff, then you'd seriously consider it
