 RE: Receiving Messages
What firewall, anti-virus, etc. are you using?

It's likely a program is blocking messages from being received.

1. Exit Windows Live Messenger.

2. Click on START and RUN and type in control appwiz.cpl and hit Enter to open the Add/Remove Programs window.

3. In the Add/Remove Programs window,

a. Select Sweet IM and choose Remove.

b. Select Macro Gaming Sweet IM and choose Remove.

c. Select InfoPen and choose Remove.

4. Restart your computer.

5. Sign into Windows Live Messenger again and verify if the issue is resolved.

Also any other Messenger add-ons, SmileyCentral, etc. .. remove them.

Strange this is exactly the same thing as reported here it seems. With the exception that in that other thread it is only experienced with polygamy...

beats me what the cause can be...

Report it to Support.
