Hello people, I have been with Msn for a while now but the latest Messenger Plus! Live 4.7 has been a small problem for me.

When I download it, it downloads like a charm but when I try to install it the begining is fine but when I click "Done" it comes up with the messenger I had all this time. I know for a fact I havn't had the Messenger 4.7 the whole time.

Does anyone know what the problem is and what can I do about it. If you answer my question. The you are the best!

If I understood correctly, you think Messenger Plus! is the latest version of WLM. Messenger Plus! is an add-on for WLM, whose latest version is 2008 or 8.5. So, if you can see the Plus! buttons in the toolbar of the contact list, then Plus! was installed properly and you can enjoy its features and spice up your Messenger. Thus, there is no problem.

You know, when I fisrt installed Plus!, I thought too that it was the latest version of MSN, as I was told by a friend.

If I didn't understood correctly, then you have the right to call me newb.

Messenger Plus! is an add-on for Windows Live Messenger. The version of Plus! you have has nothing to do with the version of WLM you have, and plus alone doesn't change how wlm looks (but you can use skins to do that)

You cannot install the skin john-t gave you because you have version 8.1 of WLM and this skin is only compatible with version 8.5 which is the latest one.

That's what I want, version 8.5 of Windows Live Messenger.  those pictures I have of my 2nd post, you can tell the diference, look at the X or Maximize butten for example. It's different, or the layer outside of the picture, it's different.

Trust me, the skin isn't the one with the different stuff.
