It's not gonna happen... if there was any danger whatsoever, they wouldn't go ahead with the experiment.

Very interesting article, I guess we'll find out in 9 days . The experiment sounds very dangerous, however the results would be phenominal to see what the big boom was like.

It was on CNN, but they didn't go into detail about it. They just mentioned that CERN was fighting to continue with the project. This experiment is different from all the "myths" about the world ending.

Also, why are you contradicting yourself?

Your first post was "OMG, we're all doomed!"

and then two posts later you say "we obvs won't die"

In truth no-one will know for sure until it takes place....however I highly doubt that an experiment like that could have such catastrophic consequences as is being sensationalised by the media

And The Sun of all places....they're pretty much the forefront of media sensationalisation!

it's impossible for anything bad to happen. the world won't end.

I found the side bar more interesting. If the world does end in 9 days, at least I won't have to worry too much about funding a new job
