Hello every one : )

I have a problem.. am really confused and don't know what's going on with my messenger plus...

I've been using it for months and every thing was all right... but all of a sudden I found  many additions are missing.. basically

(Messenger Lock )

&

(contact list clean up )

am afraid all additions are missing in my msg plus and i just can't tell why...i unistalled it and reinstalled it thousand times...i deleted smily centre and webfetti that i had before after i read some threads here..but the problem still persist...


i really need those additions especially ( messenger lock ) .. u know what i mean

another thing is that i want my windows live messenger  to be in English ...coz the site offer it according to ur region and ur language...

plz provide me with ur help A.S.A.P

try this giving a read, it might help with your problem

half the people that post with that problem don't realise that they've got the stuff.

If a user takes time to research an issue and state they removed it dont just link them to the same documentation provide other resolutions.

And just because you work in IT doesn't mean anything. I am an IT/Network Administrator.

With regards to your second problem there is a discussion here which may help you:

particularly the last post (i think) might be relevant to you

Also, do you have messenger discovery live installed as there have recently been some issues with that and causing bits of plus to function incorrectly.

do any plus icons show in the contact list window or chat window?

i don't have messenger discovery live no...and i don't think i have any plus icon on my messenger

see am not sure if that's what you mean    but on the contact list there r (open ue email box - view your sharing folders -go to window live today) and on the right side (change your color scheme-show menu )


that's all for contact list the rest are missing


in chat window there r ( select an emoticon-select a wink-send a nudge-record a voice-change ur font or text color-select a back ground)


that's all what i have in my messenger now..sorry but am trying to be precise...

i'll read the link u gave about smily center too and tell what happen

Which version of Windows Live Messenger are you using?

yes i read it before i followed all the steps

except step number seven which says

Scan your system for malware.
Some malware are known to reinstall SweetIM and/or SmileyCentral without your authorization. Scan your system for malware with Spybot Search & Destroy or with Ad-Aware SE and remove any malware detected by those utilities. You might want to reboot after your scan and do another scan to make sure no such malware is left running on your computer.

cozi wasn't sure how to do that ...

and there is something i need to mention..actually i think this might be the basic reason behind the problem

my windows defender is preventing Adware from running


do u think if i restore it ..that would solve the problem??
