Sooo,

i've had msn live messenger plus for years and everything worked FINE.
then, two days ago, i turn on my pc and open my msn and it wouldnt work properly.

it would open, but it was minimized in the tray (by the clock)
and it just stayed there! i could click on it, and sign in or quit, but i couldnt restore/maximize it

i tried unistalling and reinstalling but it didnt work
so i restored my pc, and that worked.

but then the next day, same thing
i restored it again, it was fine again

BUT today, AGAIN, it wouldnt work, and restoring didnt help either

i unistalled it again and (by a coincidence) found out that msn actually works... BUT if i unistall the plus extension!

so msn works now, but as soon as i install plus, it stopps, goes to try and stays there!

but i got used to msn with the plus thing and now i cant be without it!

so, can anyone figure it out what do to, to make it work again?
i tried downloading the latest plus version, but no effect

Do you have any skins installed?

As this can cause the symptoms you are describing

um yeah i have one
''windows beach messenger 1.2''
that's what the icon says

i dont remember if i had any others, i was just using this one

Close down Messenger

Go to C:\Program Files\Messenger Plus! Live\Skins

and delete all of the folders in there and then try re-loading your Messenger and it should work

done

but now, when i try to reinstall plus (cause its not installed atm)

it says it cant access ''lng_arabic.ini''

it says i oughta check that messenger is really closed down, which it is

and i also restarted, and it didnt help

Try reading this thread and following the advice in there.

It sounds like you are experiencing exactly the same problem

tried following, but i got stuck, cause it says i gotta find something called ''LanguageFile'' and i searched through all of the folders and its not there : /

It's not in a folder, it's in the registry.

Have you uninstalled Plus and deleted the Skin folder?

yeah i searched in the registry and it's not there

plus is unistalled and skins are deleted

Does messenger open properly now?
