Basicaly, my emoticons don't work! I love my emoticons, and wen i type the shortcuts 4 them like "LOL" it just sends text

Im using the new 2009 Messenger, with the new plus!Live 4.79.

yeah i have this prob too with the smilies...but of course its a bug cause wlm is still in beta stages so its normal.
