I downloaded the recent version 4.7 but when I go to activate the Plus I get Software not loaded. I tried reading other Forum posts bu leave me more questions than answers. I am Eastern US using Windows XP and full updates so I have SP3. If any of that helps.

Do you have SweetIM or Smiley Central installed?

CHeck your Add/Remove Programs list as they can sometimes have been installed without you knowing.

Also, do you have Messenger Discovery Live?

These programs are all known to conflict with Messenger Plus and can prevent it loading

I will check but doubt I added any other programs to MSN

I went ahead and removed all MSN and will retry from scratch had 3 in there. Probly since I got from a rent center had extras.

There are no add ons left to MSN I redownloaded MSN 8 and Plus

Ok mark it closed I deleted all MSN in add/remove programs there was a 3rd after full reinstall, I now have tabbed chats by default. ^^
