O.P. External Display as default
Hello.

I have my HDD from my laptop and i wired it up to my other laptop. So i see all files from my other laptop.

The laptop i took the hdd from doesn't work. (the lcd screen).. so i need it to use the external screen instead (from the vga port)

What do i need to do inside the hdd to change that setting??

Thanks

most laptop's have shortcuts to enable external screens. (eg 'fn' +'F4') so looks for that on the broken laptop.

Some laptops won't boot off an external monitor, so you're probably better copying the files you need directly off the hard drive while it's hooked up to another computer.

Best of luck to you. I have a useless laptop on my desk I've been messing around with to no avail.
