Looks nice, I would love to see a Phunkn update though! This looks a lot like the original Windows Live Messenger 8.0 beta UI, its interesting

I just sent v1.0.1 to Menthix, this version fixes an issue with the modern chat window layout and hiding dp's. It also fixes the bug with hiding the contact search bar buttons and classic emoticon button icons not appearing.

Should hopefully be up later today or tomorrow, depending on when Menthix gets the time to do it.

Just curious, is it possible for you to skin the tab frame, because when you use tabs on the left it doesnt fit in with the skin and the border doesnt look to nice.

It partially is, but you can't really do anything. All you can do is set one image to stretch, or to tile repeatedly. The border that the tabs have will still be laid on top like normal and you can't skin the buttons themselves.

I tried adding a background image in but because it doesn't have stretch margins like Messenger does it just looks wrong no matter what. With chat tabs there is no win-win situation. I've been complaining about this for ages to Patch, hopefully one day we will have full control over them. Until then there isn't much I can do.

Pretty much anything that looks out of place aesthetically is because of a technical limitation by Plus! or Messenger

Minimalistic-ness, is not a problem for me.. its just the colours. I prefer soothing colours and designs.
Willz, the scroll bar looks too plain to me. Could you give it some depth may be? Emboss the image or something. Might look better. The grey icons looks a bit weird to me. The Plus! and Scripting icons look out of aspect ratio (in the first screenshot).

Overall, the design looks good. As I said, sadly it doesn't float my boat

That isn't technically possible moving the dp to the middle. You would crash Messenger with that. It just doesn't work on so many levels that its not funny.

I think the design is fine the way it is so I have no intention of changing it. The only possible change I see happening is maybe a dark version. But asides from that I'm not really taking any design suggestions.

I was wondering if you could put the toolbar buttons in the contact list window at the top of the window to the left, like the MinMaxClose buttons are to the right. It would be very nice in my opinion.
