I've installed the latest Messenger Plus and Windows live messenger 2009 but I still have this problem:

the tabs and the conversation button on windows taskbar do not blink whenever someone sends me a new message unless i turn off the tab feature.

My OS is windows XP sp2, I use object dock and windowblinds (lol i don't know if this information is even useful) and i still have my older windows live messenger (8.5) working though.

Do you have any other add-ons that may be conflicting with Plus! as MessengerDiscovery, MSNShell.. etc.. installed?

As far as i know, nope i don't have any...

I can also confirm this issue. I use it at work and I hate multi-window convos.

Wondering if I should downgrade to keep this feature or wait for a fix.

Windows Blinds is the issue in the original post, uninstall that and the flashing will work.

Mysitccal, if you have Windows Blinds too then that is your solution

you dont have to uninstall windows blinds, you just need to add the messenger exe to the exclude list...
