I was just told by a secret ninja spy (nana) that theres a new plus.

But...theres no thread from Patchou...so im guessing that theres not that many changes. Maybe only bug fixes?

Except this public release gave me the plain old CiD sponsor again, instead of the "new way to support Messenger Plus!".

Isn't the new Ask.com sponsor only available if CiD was not previously installed?

Well I never installed CiD on this system, so in that case I should see it. But Patchou also mentioned disabling it for IE8 for now. I have IE8, and during the beta Ask.com always refused to install to Firefox on this system, so maybe that's why it's defaulting back to CiD.

I got the ask sponsor on the public release

hadn't installed the latest beta on this machine (work one), nor had i previously installed the old sponsor

The new Ask.com option is currently being distributed via auto-updates only, to avoid sending too many people on the site at once.

I didn't notice there was an update, why we weren't notified?

It's only a minor update

Even the beta testers weren't notified it was being released, haha.

It would've turned up in the auto-updates in a few days anyway
