Hey,
I use windows xp
I just installed the latest windows live messenger. probably 14.0
after i downloaded the installation file from the website it just wudnt complete installing.
it would just disappear after 3 seconds
i restarted my pc. i see the new WLM but it just wont sign it. it shows an instant error msg
error no. 80040154 I guess
i tried to uninstall it.. i cudnt find it at all in the add/remove program.
i browsed thru some pages. did some registry removal ( I am not at all pro at this)

My problem is:
wenever i try to install wlm 8.5 it says i have a new version already which i need to remove from the control panel add remove. but i cant find it there
plz plz plz help

Try looking for "Windows Live Essentials" entry in Add/Remove, and remove it.

Also, try ZapMessenger.
