Im having some serious issues trying to use skins, no matter what skin i choose it will not apply, i have WLM 2009 and im running windows vista 32bit. this is one of many problems i have been having with WLM and Messenger Plus.
any help would be great.

hey, um question. The skins you have been trying to apply, are they built for Messenger 2009?

Because yeah a skin will only be applied if it is built for the version of Messenger you have. On the download page of any skin it says what version its for.

yeah, they are for 2009, and it still doesnt work

ok well that last thing that could be causing a clash would be if you have something like mess patch or apatch applied since that can cause issues.

Also to make sure you have the latest version of Messenger Plus! Live, since some skins do need it to work.

4.81.358 is the latest version.

Okay, i have 14.0 i think.... im not sure where to find that, and if i dont have the right one where would i get the right one? and would i have to start the process all over again?

Messenger Plus!'s version. You can find this under the File menu under Plus! -> About Messenger Plus!

The version number will be on the top right corner.

Anyway the latest version is always at

Wellll, i have the right version, and i double checked my messenger to make sure its 2009, it is. Its still not working.

I dont even know what  mess patch or apatch is O.o or how to find out if i have something like that applied. lol kinda makes me feel stupid.
