O.P. Annoying clicking sound
Hi,

Whenever I sign into Live Messenger, it keeps making a clicking sound (as if I've just clicked on a link) every 1-2 seconds and it's very annoying. It seems to click a random number of times before finally stopping, but I don't know how to stop the clicking completely. Does anyone else have this problem?

Try doing a fresh install of WLM and Plus!
You have the intellect comparable to that of a rock. Be proud.

Do you have it set to open "Windows Live Today" when you sign in?

I had it disabled but the problem persists.

RE: Annoying clicking sound
This probably isn't a solution, given what I think is happening, but it should get rid of the clicking sound being heard.

Go to Start -> Run -> mmsys.cpl -> Sounds -> In the list below find the "Start Navigation" entry and change its sound file to None (at the top of the dropdown box).

Hope this helps :)
