I save my chat logs and view them through the log viewer,
anyways i had one open and was reading it while i was talking to the person, and then all of a sudden it disappeared, the chat log with him is no where on my computer, not in the recycling bin or anything, i searched my computer but found nothing.

and i really need it and i want to know if there's a way to get it back
anyone have the same problem?

It does not disappear suddenly... Try checking My Documents --> My Chat Logs, it is there, I believe.

it's not there, checked. and i have vista so i went to the start menu and searched the persons email and nothing came up, but everyone elses did when i tried them

Just to make sure, open a conversation with that user and type
/viewlog

And press enter, does the log show up?

we talked after my chat log with that person disappeared and only what we said after it comes up, and the after conversations in aug. are no where on my computer
