hi there,
I just installed mpl, anyway, I signed into msn and 3 seconds later it closes the window and signs me out automatically.
so I tried again, and (as I expected) it signed me out again.
so now I have no way of getting onto messenger without using some internet based thingo, plus it doesen't even appear that mpl is even on my hard drive, meaning I cant uninstall it.
anyway can someone please help me. thanks in advance.

Can you show us a screenshot of your Add/Remove Programs (Programs & Features on Vista)  ?

Is the folder C:\Program Files\Messenger Plus! Live there?

Have you tried uninstalling Windows Live Messenger and re-installing it?

yeah, I will take a screen shot.
I could just re-install messenger, as you said, but it would be a pretty big download, so I just wanted to see if there was any problem with the latest version or whatever.

oh so sorry, it was on my hard drive.
I uninstalled it and re-started my computer and it's all good.

So you're saying that your Windows Live Messenger crashes after seconds of being logged in and exits completely?

Does it still do this without Messenger Plus! Live?

no it doesent without messenger plus, but I would really like to be able to use it without it crashing after 3 seconds!

Does it give you a message to "Send an error report" to Microsoft?  Or does the program just disappear without a trace?

it just disappears.
the program is still open in the programs thing in the bottom right hand corner, but when I hover my mouse over it it disappears, as if it's meant to be EVIL!!!

Where did you download Messenger Plus! Live from? There are websites out there hosting files claiming to be the genuine program, but that install virus' on your PC
