I disabled my 'Show What Song I'm Listening To' a few weeks ago and when I came to re-enable it today, it springs up with the Message "To Use this feature you must have Windows Media Player 9 or later installed"

When I click 'Okay' to download the latest version, it tells me that I'm already running a later version than it downloads.

I'm running:

WMP 11.0.6002.18065
WLM 14.0.8089.726

I also use the iTunes+ Script (to get it to show my iTunes info), but I can't even enable the option in WLM at the moment, both via the dropdown next to the PSM, or by the Options panel itself, I get the same Message each time.

The "Windows Live Messenger Music Plug-in" is enabled in WMP

Anyone else experiencing this?

Any ideas?!

On that note, I get the same "error" when enabling it....however I do NOT have WMP, any way to bypass this? (without installing WMP, of course)

After comparing with my brother's WLM I think it's to do with the 8089 update of WLM

He can enable and disable his with no problems

That's the Vista Windows Media Player 11 isn't it? Not XP. No problems here with Media Player 11 for XP and latest WLM build
