my live messager version was forced to update to 2009 version.
Under live messager 2009 version, the newest version of message plus cannot record the conversation log. There is only an empty file called "my chatting log", but nothing inside it.
How to fix this problem?I need use message plus to record chatting log under live message 2009.

Plus! > Preferences > Conversations > Chat Logging > 'Enable chat logging by default'.

Make sure on 'Filter' all contacts are chosen.
Make sure it's saving in a valid place, such as Documents.

all contacts are chosen, and chat logging is saved in my documents.
There is an file existed, but the file is blank.
Message plus can record my chatting log before. But when live meesage updated to 2009 version, even though I reinstall the newest version of message plus, there is only a blank file called "my chatting log" in my documents.

Do you mean there's an empty folder called "My Chat Log"?

yes, an empty folder called "my chat log" in "My documents".
I am using windows Xp, IE 8.0.

Ok, you said 'file' before, so please double-check what you're saying so I can understand and try and help you.

What happens when you go to Plus! > Chat Log Viewer..? Does anything appear? It should look like this.

I'm lost for ideas then. There's a related bug report which might be the cause.

OS: Windows xp
WLM: Version 2009 (Build 14.0.8064.206)
Msg Plus: 4.83.372
Logs being saved to C:\Users\<user>\Documents\My Chat Logs

While in conversation with a contact, an HTML file exists for the conversation, but nothing that is being said is appearing in the file.  Once the chat window is closed, the HTML file is deleted.  The folder is not marked as read only.

Will this bug be solved? At this stage, What can I do at my end? or wait for you to solvethe bug?

Well, if it were me, I'd just keep trying different things to fix it.

Before I upgraded to Win7, I was using the exact same OS, WLM and Plus!.. and it was working fine for me.

So I'm pretty sure it's not a bug with Plus!, just something on your computer stopping it.

Think of the possibilities it could be: conflicting programs, security programs blocking it, etc.
