I've just been forced to upgrade to 14.0.8089, and there is an annoying bug. When someone types in a conversation the conversation window in the taskbar always highlights itself (twinkle orange), but since the upgrade it only twinkle once.

It's really annoying when I'm not sure if the person has typed or not.

Any help?

As far as I remember this is due to an incompatibility.  Please check the following thread to see if you have any of the listed products

Also, are you running any themes on Windows such as WindowsBlinds?

Nope only visual style, which is windows xp's default theme program

Does the problem still happen if you remove the visual style?

Aah, I noticed that it was the script "Enhancer"s fault. Is there a compatibility issue? 

Yes, the Enhancer script is no longer compatible with Windows Live Messenger as it was made for an older version and hasn't been updated

Did you try version 3.0.23.81? It's a newer version than the one that was on the download database and the one on his site which is linked to on Messenger Plus! Live Enhancer.

3.0.23.81 should have better compatibility for Messenger 2009.
