Actually I think it's good to see Microsoft (somewhat) officially recognize the compatibility of a third-party add-on for their IM software, albeit the compatibility is in terms of that with the operating system :p

I got an email from Microsoft asking me to fill otu the forms to confirm the Windows 7 comptability. Glad to know the info is public :).
