If it is to not be supportive of Windows XP surely there are some features that take advantage of something since Vista? I like the GUI without the whole social aspect of it and I to hope they release a beta before the full release however it is unlikely.

More emoticons. These are from Live Writer, but I assume Messenger will use the same set. Kinda like them TBH.

There will be eventually, it just makes sense, seeing as a lot of the Mesesnger updates are security based.

Not to mention it makes things a hell of a lot easier for people who support Messenger.....if we're giving advice we don't have to give a million different permutations depending on which version people are running (or worse still, ask people to find out which version they're on!) we can just know which version they're running
