Hi Support,

I have a Custom Sound for when Messenger Plus! Live checks for Emails and finds Emails in my Account.

It played when version 4.81 version was installed.

It does not play when version 4.82 or 4.83 version is currently installed.

That sound is listed to be played in Windows Live Messenger's Custom Sounds.

My Voice announcing that You're got Mail!.

It does not play. A reinstall of version 4.81 restores the announcement.

That's what I mean by No Sound is heard when version 4.82 or now 4.83 version is installed.

Need to go back to version 4.81 to hear my Voice again.

Explanation: Windows Live Messenger 2009 has the ability to add Custom Sounds for Events like checking Mail, Receiving an Instant Message, and someone logs in.

Messenger Plus Version 4.81.0.358 - Released 3/22/2009 works fine with Custom Sounds.

Messenger Plus Version 4.83.380 released does not work with Custom Sounds. It remains silent, especially under Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit Released Version and Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 3.
