hi everyone
i m having an issue with my live messenger, suddenly it stopped working and failed to login me. i tried to install it again but it does not allow me to install it. i m not clear with the exact issue, it show the following error message.

" Couldn't install programs
Use windows updates to download the latest version of Windows Installer, and then try again"

i have most of my contact on MSN Live Messenger and i need it fixed as soon as possible. plz help.

You need to do what it says and use Windows Update to get the latest version of Windows Installer.

Well if Windows Update isn't working then you need to look into it because it's important to keep your system up-to-date.

For Windows XP you need the WindowsXP-KB942288-v3-x86.exe WindowsServer2003-KB942288-v4-x86.exe
