I just wanted to find out...can i install Windows 7 on a Dell GX270 and a Dell Dimension 2350?

Can you tell us the specs rather then just the model?

I'd say you can, but I don't know if you should. Specs will tell.

If it is currently running Vista you can be about 99% sure it will run Windows 7 too (and faster).

GX270 is a mid P4-era machine and I would expect it will work just as well with Windows 7 as it does with XP.  RAM is the key -- the more you have, the happier 7 will be, despite the rest of the machine being fairly old.

Dimension 2350 is an early P4.  It may work just fine too, but there is a greater chance of compatibility issues.  Unless it has been upgraded before, it probably also needs more RAM (they were lucky to ship with 256MB).  TBH, this is a machine I'd try to replace.

Run the upgrade advisor or even better - try it for yourself
