We've got custom emoticons in WLM, so why not on the boards?

The idea is that a user hosts a bunch of emoticons and defines shortcuts for 'em in their preferences, instead of doing the [img] thingy like this (btw, love that one )

Ummm why not just use the [img][/img] tags?!?

Because it takes a lot of time to get the image url and fill stuff in correctly.

Btw, custom emoticons as thread icons might be cool as well

I highly doubt DZ would add this... I don't see a use for it.

It doesn't take that long to get an image url and put it between [img] tags....not as long as it would take setting up a custom emoticon anyway......not to mention I'm sure it would be abused somehow
