I'm currently using WLM 9 14.0.8089 and Msplus 4.84

In the last few days I've been experiencing this annoying problem: some of my contacts (just some of them) appear to be blocked, even though I've never blocked them. When I right click on a blocked contact, the available option is not "ALLOW" but "BLOCK". That means I have to first block it and then unblock it.
This will do for a little while then, even while I'm chatting to that contact, it suddenly turns out to be blocked again and so I have to block it and unblock it over and over again.
When I log off and then back on, these contacts are always blocked, even if I didn't block them before logging off.
What's going on?

This can happen if they get blocked whilst logged onto another machine, or using MPoP.

Try changing your password and seeing if the problem goes away.

Another option: are you using any Messenger Plus! Live Scripts?  I believe there are some scripts that can block contacts under certain circumstances.

I'm not using any scripts.
If the problem was that they are using Mpop, how can I solve it by changing my PW?

No, the problem was not them using MPoP, it would be if you were....or if someone else signed in on your account somehow and blocked certain contacts....hence me asking you to change your password just incase someone, somehow has your account details

I've changed my PW now, but I've never used MPop in my life.
What really puzzles me is that contacts get blocked also while they are talking to me and I'm of course logged on.
When that happens, I can't send them any messages, but they can still write to me.

They aren't getting blocked then.......if they can send you messages, they aren't blocked

I know, but the problem is that there's the red bar across the contact's name and picture and I can't send them any messages, as if they were really blocked.
When that happens, I have to block them and then unblock them.
