O.P. adding contact problem
when adding a new contact on the new Windows live, everytime i add a new contact a message appears saying sucessful but that the Windows live service is not available and will be sorted when it is available. However it has been saying this ages. What is the problem? please fix.

This problem occurs occasionally when one or more servers is being worked on.  The best advise is to just wait a few hours/days and try adding the contact again, or alternatively ask them to add you.

Problems like this are common during the run-up to a new release of Windows Live Messenger as more testing, etc is carried out
